What changes is the outside. What does not change is the inside: the Apple mainboard, chipset, storage and serial identity stay original and unmodified, so the phone still reports and performs as an iPhone XS Max. We publish this on every listing, because buyers deserve to know exactly what they are getting — and because misrepresenting a shell-swapped phone as a new flagship is fraud.

Does it become a real iPhone 17 Pro Max?
No, and we never claim it does. The model, chipset, cameras, screen technology and iOS version reported by the device remain those of the original iPhone XS Max. Only the exterior look is upgraded. Anyone selling a shell-swapped phone as a genuine new flagship is misrepresenting it.
Is the mainboard or serial number modified?
Never. The original Apple mainboard, serial identity and IMEI are untouched. We do not sell core-hardware-modified, cloned or IMEI-spoofed devices. All IMEI are clean and non-blacklisted.
Do the cameras and Face ID still work?
Yes. The functional camera modules and Face ID remain the original XS Max components and are tested before dispatch. The extra lens positions in the camera island are cosmetic on models where the original device has fewer lenses — this is stated on the listing.
What warranty applies to a modified-look device?
12 months on non-accidental functional faults of the mainboard and screen. Replaced housings, panel seams, alignment gaps, colour variance and cosmetic wear are explicitly excluded, and change-of-mind returns are not available on used or cosmetic-upgraded phones.
